このたびKen Fine Artでは、鮫島ゆいと中川トラヲの2人展 「I'm not a robot」を開催いたします。
タイトルの「I'm not a robot」はreCAPTCHAの画像選択、または文字入力の際に 自分をbotではない、と証明させるための宣言文です。
ランダムに生成されたイメージや文字を選択、入力するさまは、鮫島と中川が絵画を制作する際に行う様々な行為にオーバーラップします。

様々な真実が乱立して「正しさ」が曖昧になってきた社会に対して作品を提示すること、作家であることを宣言することは、インターネット上で「私はロボットでありません」と宣言することと対応しているかのようだと両者は語ります。
二人の作家によって選択、入力されたイメージは、絵画という形をとって立ち現われ、そこにはおおよそ言葉では語りきれない両者の「宣言」が内包されています。

Ken Fine Art is pleased to present "I'm not a robot," a two-person exhibition by Yui Samejima and Torao Nakagawa.
The title, "I'm not a robot," is a declaration used to prove that you are not a bot when selecting images or entering text in reCAPTCHA.
The act of selecting and entering randomly generated images and text overlaps with the various actions that Samejima and Nakagawa perform when creating paintings.
The two artists say that presenting their work and declaring themselves artists in a society where various truths coexist and "rightness" has become ambiguous is like declaring "I am not a robot" on the internet.
The images selected and entered by the two artists appear in the form of paintings, and within them lies their "declaration," which is almost impossible to fully express in words.
