The Vision of Contemporary Artの頭文字をとって VOCA（ヴォーカ）展と呼ばれる本展は、全国の美術館学芸員、研究者などに40歳以下の若手作家の推薦を依頼し、その作家が平面作品の新作を出品するという方法により、毎年全国各地から未知の優れた才能を紹介している現代美術展です。
今開催で32回目となる「VOCA展」は、平面美術の領域で国際的にも通用するような将来性のある若い作家の支援を目的に1994年より毎年開催し、延べ1,068組（1,079名）の作家が出展。ここから大きな躍進を遂げる作家を多く輩出しています。今年も「平面」の可能性を追求した多様な作品をご紹介いたします。

VOCA, an acronym for The Vision of Contemporary Art, is a contemporary art exhibition that annually showcases undiscovered, outstanding talent from across Japan. Museum curators and researchers across the country are invited to recommend young artists under the age of 40, who then submit new two-dimensional works.
Now in its 32nd year, the VOCA Exhibition has been held annually since 1994 with the aim of supporting promising young artists who have the potential to achieve international recognition in the field of two-dimensional art. A total of 1,068 artists (1,079 individuals) have exhibited, nurturing many artists who have gone on to achieve great success. This year, we will once again present a diverse range of works that explore the possibilities of the two-dimensional medium.

このたび、鮫島ゆいによる作品《Ritual Room (Pretend to Be Happy) 》が、現代美術展「VOCA展2025 現代美術の展望─新しい平面の作家たち─」において〈VOCA佳作賞〉 を受賞いたしました。
長い歴史のある展覧会でこのような素晴らしい賞をいただけたことを大変嬉しく思っております。
