KATSUYA SUSUKI GALLERY
この度KATSUYA SUSUKI GALLERYでは2022年5月14日（土）から6月5日（日） まで、鮫島ゆいと井上瑞貴による2人展「Fragments of unvoiced voices」を開催いたします。
信仰や神話、哲学など、古来より人びとの間に根付いている精神世界入り口に、五感を通して感じられる「実在」と、想像から導かれる「架空」を混在させ、「みえるものとみえざるものをつなぐこと」をテーマに、絵画作品を制作する鮫島ゆい。
そして社会生活の中の、見えずらい、または見え過ぎる「個」や「事」に注目し、社会規範の外側の人や事から派生する声や物語を描く井上瑞貴。
今回の2人展のタイトルの「Fragments of unvoiced voices(声にならない声の断片)」 は、そんな2人が展覧会に向けて、お互いの共通項を話し合う中で浮かび上がってきた言葉です。
それぞれベクトルは違えども、見えにくいもの、消えてしまいそうなもの、透明化 されてしまうものを掬い上げて、繋ぎ合わせて生み出された2人の作品による競演。この機会にどうぞご高覧下さい。

KATSUYA SUSUKI GALLERY is pleased to present "Fragments of unvoiced voices," a two-person exhibition by Yui Samejima and Mizuki Inoue, from May 14th (Sat) to June 5th (Sun), 2022.
Yui Samejima creates paintings based on the theme of "connecting the visible and the invisible," blending "reality" perceived through the five senses with "fiction" derived from imagination, at the entrance to the spiritual world deeply rooted in people since ancient times, encompassing beliefs, myths, and philosophy.
Mizuki Inoue, on the other hand, focuses on "individuals" and "events" that are difficult or too visible in social life, depicting voices and stories that arise from people and events outside of social norms.
The title of this two-person exhibition, "Fragments of unvoiced voices," emerged as the two artists discussed their common ground in preparation for the exhibition.
Though their approaches differ, their works, created by capturing and connecting things that are difficult to see, things that seem to disappear, and things that become transparent, present a collaborative display. We invite you to come and see their work.
