鮫島ゆい、山﨑愛彦、THE COPY TRAVELERSを迎え「The Layer, the layer」展を開催いたします。
重層的で複雑に、しかしあくまでも平面性が保たれた画面を作り出す点が共通する彼らの作品を、Layer（層）を切り口に見てみようという企画です。SNSやインターネット上に溢れかえるデジタルイメージに取り囲まれ、様々な複層的なイメージのあり方が当たり前という環境は、作品に影響を与えているのでしょうか？作品たちを同じ空間に並べることで見えることがあるのではないかと、期待しています。
それぞれの手法やコンセプトを比較する中で、Layer（層）がどのように作品の中で位置づけられるかも考えることで、それぞれの作品の特徴をより把握できるのではないかと考えています。

We are pleased to present "The Layer, the Layer" exhibition, featuring works by Yui Samejima, Yoshihiko Yamazaki, and THE COPY TRAVELERS.
This exhibition explores their works, which share a common characteristic of creating multi-layered and complex images while maintaining a sense of flatness, through the lens of "layers." Surrounded by digital images overflowing on social media and the internet, and where various multi-layered forms of images are commonplace, how is this influencing their work? We hope to gain insights by displaying their works in the same space.
By comparing their respective techniques and concepts, and considering how "layers" are positioned within their works, we believe we can gain a deeper understanding of the characteristics of each piece.
